Eagle Food Centers accepts bids for five stores

Eagle Food Centers, which owns and operates supermarkets in Illinois and Iowa, has accepted bids for certain assets of five of its stores, the company announced late Friday.
Butera Finer Foods plans to acquire three stores in St. Charles, Lindenhurst and Naperville, Ill.
Supermercado El Guero De Aurora plans to acquire the Aurora, Ill., store.
Snapping up the store in Watseka, Ill., store is SVT, LLC.
Eagle intends to submit the results of the auction for approval by the bankruptcy court at a hearing scheduled for Sept. 11. The company continues to pursue opportunities for the balance of its stores.
