Drugstore.com completes acquisition of Vision Direct

Drugstore.com has completed the previously announced acquisition of privately held International Vision Direct Corp. Vision Direct is an online provider of contact lenses and vision accessories.

Under the terms of the deal, drugstore.com will acquire Vision Direct for $10 million in cash and 6.8 million shares of common stock. The deal closed on Monday.

In addition to finalizing the acquisition, drugstore.com has entered an agreement to become a direct retailer of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care products.
