Hastings Entertainment posts net loss, higher comps in 3Q

Hastings Entertainment on Monday reported that for the three months ended Oct. 31, net loss for was approximately $1.8 million, or 15 cents per diluted share, compared to a net loss of approximately $3.8 million, or 34 cents per diluted share, for the third quarter of fiscal 2003.
Total revenues for the third quarter increased $6.7 million, or 6%, to $119.5 million, compared to $112.8 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2003.
Comp-store sales were up 3.8% for the quarter.
