Barnes & Noble, Court TV partner for new series
DSN Retailing Today
Monday, April 10, 2006

Barnes & Noble and Court TV today partnered to promote the network's new primetime series, "America's Crime Writers: Murder They Wrote."

The series premieres on Court TV in the fourth quarter of this year, featuring bestselling authors James Ellroy, Faye Kellerman, Jonathan Kellerman, Lisa Scottoline and Michael Connolly. "Murder They Wrote" is pegged as a show that "will bring to life some of the most compelling true crime stories by the authors that know them best."

Court TV will implement programming, online, on-air graphics and off-channel marketing elements to promote Barnes & Noble in association with the series. The network will air promotional spots and create custom on-air graphics, which will direct viewers to Barnes & Noble and Barnes & Noble.com to learn more about the authors and their books and to purchase them.

Court TV will have a presence in more than 575 Barnes & Noble stores nationwide. Barnes & Noble will promote the series and authors' books in its stores with custom end caps. Barnes & Noble.com will feature "Murder They Wrote" on its home page, in subscriber newsletters and e-mails to specific genre buyers and put package inserts about the series in outgoing packages.
