Dollar General Names New CEO
Chain Store Age

Dollar General announced that Richard W. Dreiling has been appointed CEO of the discount chain, effective Jan. 21. Dreiling most recently served as chairman, president and CEO of New York City-based drug store Duane Reade.

Prior to his tenure at Duane Reade, Dreiling served in senior leadership roles with Safeway, Inc. and Longs Drug Stores.
